At Joy in Motion, we believe fitness should feel fun & joyful!
So many of us have traumatic memories of PE, & movement in general. From ancestral memory of running away, to feeling hustled or judged in conventional fitness environments.
We're here to help you to undo all of that. To teach your nervous system that exercise is safe, fun, & available to you. We all know we "should" exercise. But nobody wants to sign up for something that stresses them out, or spikes their cortisol.
Working with the principle of gentle overload, and mindset, our mission is to make movement something that your body looks forwards to. Where you feel nurtured, & a sense of calm. As our uplifting, silent-disco classes & personal training help you to reconnect with your body, you’ll start to see exercise as a source of confidence & real joy.
Our group sessions & 1:1 programmes blend holistic techniques, functional fitness & injury prevention.
Stace, our head trainer, brings 9+ years of experience and energy that lights up every session. An advanced personal trainer & GP referral specialist. Stace is here to help guide you to meet your unique goals, & is also able to support those with a wide range of health conditions; alongside traditional PT & weight loss programmes.
Your training session will be effective – but also transformative. Our fun, silent disco workouts have been featured at a wide range of events & offerings from across the fitness & wellness landscape. Including: Wild & Well, Larmer Tree, Love Trails, Facebook, AirBnB experiences, on two TV shows, in Balance magazine, & more.
